CNSx3 Retreat at Tjärnö Marine Laboratory, University of Gothenburg.

We had a productive retreat with many great discussions on project progress, ongoing manuscripts, current challenges, and how we can address them through stronger collaboration and a more focused approach.

We also exchange ideas, spend time together, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings — including a fantastic boat cruise on Neurus.

We are all looking forward to turning these discussions into reality and exciting outcomes!

Last week SMILS and this week, 15th of June the Department of Immunology Genetics and Pathology, IGP-Day . We got presentations from all six research programmes, overviews of research infrastructures, innovation, administration and teaching, and performed discussion and cross‑departmental exchange.

CNSx3 work was shown by researcher Maximiliano Arce, PhD-student Srijita Banerjee, PhD-student Madeleine Skeppås and grant holder Lili Kósa in the poster session.

In the upcoming Swedish Microfluidics in Life Science, SMILS we have CNSx3 partners in action PI Maria Tenje, Researchers Maximiliano Arce, Neeraj Katiyar and Sofia Johansson. SMILS aiming to bring together experts from across the field to explore the latest advances in microfluidics.

Our thoughts go to cavernous malformation all months but especially now in June 2026 when it is the awareness month of this blood vessel disorder of the brain or spinal cord.

CNSx3 Workshop in Uppsala, Rudbeck laboratory where we were divided in work groups and presented* where are we now/latest data, problems/ successes, next scope/goals and inspiration for the future. The groups and topics in focus were:

*Organoid-on-chip: Neeraj*, Max, Iza*, Jens, Julia, Tora, Maria, Sona

*Data/Image analysis: André*, Hitesh, Madeleine*, Sven, Clara

*Tumor organoids: Josi*, Soumi, Ellie, Irem, Mehran, Karl, Fredrik*

CNSx3 and IFOM retreat

Summarizing 2 days of presentations from both CNSx3 and IFOM and key note lectures from Kristina Haase, Nils Gauthier and Monzo Pascale. Fantastic research enviroment and we got collabortive initiatives and explorations in Milan.
